Recommendable

How the score works. Version 1.1.

Everything that affects your score is free. Everything you pay for is help.

The one number, and what it counts

We put a fixed set of questions to our panel of AIs, the sort a customer asks, and one about you by name.

How often you are named, and the Seen part of your score, count only the questions that do not say your name; the question that says your name counts toward Trusted instead.

So every “named in” figure on your page is out of the same number, and that number is on the page.

The three parts

Seen40 of 100
How often you are named when nobody asked for you, both in your own part of town and across the whole market. It is reported as where you stand among businesses like yours: same category, same part of town, and a single location is compared with single locations rather than with a chain.
Trusted35 of 100
When AI is asked about you directly, what does it say? Is it accurate? Does it recommend you, or steer the person elsewhere? And when it mentions your reviews, does it have anything specific to quote?
Backed25 of 100
Does the rest of the web agree with you about you? Your listings matching each other, your reviews having substance, and other people having written about you. Our own pages are excluded from this, so a Recommendable or Texas Critical Trades page never counts as proof.

The bands

Your number is yours. What is ever public is the band, and only on a list we publish.

  • Invisible 0 to 24
  • Mentioned 25 to 49
  • Considered 50 to 74
  • Named 75 to 100

Worth the drive

Some businesses are well thought of and still never brought up. When AI speaks well of you but rarely mentions you first, your page says so. It is a note, not points: it does not move your number in either direction.

The wall

  • Money never touches the score. Not directly, not through a slot, not through anything you could buy from us.
  • A list that carries a score does not sell position. A list that sells position does not carry a score.
  • There are no featured profiles. Every listing shows the same facts, in the same order, for everyone.
  • When we write to a business, we quote what AI said and when it said it. We never lead with your score.
  • The method is the same for everyone, published here, with a version number.
  • Corrections are free to anyone, customer or not, inside five business days.
  • Our own pages do not count as proof of anything.
  • Claiming your listing is free forever, and it is the only badge a business can earn on the page itself.
  • We score businesses. We never score a person, and no practitioner or owner name appears on a scored page.

Your raw answers

Every answer is stored with the AI that gave it, the model, the question, and the moment it was asked. Ask us and we will send you every raw answer behind your own score. Write to hello@getrecommendable.com.

Corrections

If something we published about your business is wrong, tell us. We fix it inside five business days, and it costs nothing whether you are a customer or not. Same address as above.

Changes to this method

Weights change only with a new version number and a dated note here. This is version 1.1, in force since September 22, 2026. Pages we publish carry the version they were scored under, so an old page is never quietly re-read against new rules.
